Photos - Ming tomb

These are photos of one of the two Sacrificial Censers placed on either side of the path to the Sacrificial Hall. They are constructed of glazed tile, and covered with single-eave, gable-and-hip roofs. The arch in the middle of the front wall leads to a small chamber where pieces of paper - on which characters are written to call back the spirit of the dead - used for sacrificial ceremonies are burnt.

Here is the pathway leading up to the gates that guard the tomb area. Also, roof detail on the gate, and a knocker on one of the gates.
