Wed, Dec 13: Last Full Day

Boy, it is really getting close now. I send off the last of my laundry to be cleaned this morning, and spend the day sorting through all the papers I have accumulated at work to decide what is going back home with me.

We are still dealing with one stubborn problem with the system here - I try everything I can think of but it just won't budge. It looks like I might have to resign to returning to the US without this problem being solved.

Lunch is my last trip to the Italian restaurant for gorganzola pasta, and I take the whole team out for a final dinner. I am still amazed that I can take 7 people out to dinner for $20. You just can't do that back home unless you carefully split-up the McNuggets...

My evening is spent packing and repacking my bags. Harshad has loaned me another wheeled bag, so I have decided that tomorrow I will check two bags, then take my small suitcase and laptop on the plane as carry-on luggage. I am still really hoping that I can check my luggage through from Nanjing to Detroit, but I am not overly optimistic.

About 10pm I finally have my bags packed to my satisfaction - have looked in all the drawers at least 3 times, and decide it is time to get some sleep. The next few days are going to be taxing!
